Clubs @ ESEC : National Service Scheme(NSS)

On 19.07.2011, College level NSS Advisory Committee Meeting was conducted. The following Advisory Committee members were present, The Principal – Chairman, Prof. M.Palanisamy – Director(Students’ affairs), Mr. K.Suriya Prakash – NSS Progamme Coordinator, Anna University of Technology – Coimbatore, Prof. N.Krishnasamy – HOD/Chemical, M.Aravind Perumal – NSS Volunteer, K.Divya - NSS Volunteer, Mr.K.A.Mohan – Village Volunteer, Mr.K.A. Nagaran - Village Volunteer, Mr.N.M.Ganesan–AP/Physics, NSS Programme Officer, Mr.K.M.Subramanian – AP/CSE, NSS Programme Officer. In this meeting the Action Plan for the academic year 2011- 2012 was discussed and finalized.

On 21.07.2011, Orientation Programme was conducted for NSS Volunteers. In this programme, NSS works for the year 2011-12 were assigned to the volunteers.

On 15.08.2011 – Independence day was celebrated in our college. Thiru M.Balusamy, President, ESET, hoisting the flag and gave Independence day address. Thiru. S.Sivananthan, Secretary, ESET, Er. R.Mohanraj, Correspondent, ESEC, Dr.Arun V.Parwate, Principal, ESEC were participated and gave the independence day address. On the same day the N.S.S. Units of our College organized a Tree Plantation Camp. In this camp 50 numbers of tree saplings were planted.

On 23.08.2011 – A special “Yoga Programme” was conducted for our NSS volunteers. The “Yoga Programme“ was demonstrated by Mr.Viswanathan, Yoga Master, Erode Sengunthar Engineering College.

On 30.08.2011 – 20 numbers of N.S.S. volunteers attended the Anti Ragging Awareness Progrmme conducted by the Commissioner of Police Erode at IRT Perundurai Medical College under the leadership of Mr.K.M.Subramanian, NSS Programme officer, ESEC.

On 30.08.2011 – our College Students took “SADBHAVANA DAY PLEDGE” in order to avoid violence and terrorism activities in our Country.

As a part of the 68^th Birthday Celebrations of our former Correspondent Udyog Rattan Theiva thiru. J. Sudhanandhen, the N.S.S. Units of our College organized a Blood Donation Camp, General Medical Camp and a Tree Plantation Camp on 21.09.2010 in the College Campus. Dr. Sukumar, Chief Doctor, Sree Ragavendra Eye Hospital, Erode, inaugurate the Blood donation Camp and Medical Camp. A total of 103 units of Blood were donated to Erode Lions Club of supreme charitable trust Blood Bank and 40 units of Blood were donated to IRT Perundurai Medical College Blood Bank. 382 publics, in and around of our College got benefited in General Medical Camp. 150 numbers of tree saplings were planted in Tree Plantation Camp.

On 24.09.2011 – NSS Day was celebrated in our College. On that day Essay competition were conducted for our N.S.S. Volunteers on the topic “Students roll for Healthy India”.
